To respond to the needs of a by-now multi-ethnic Italian society, Cidis Onlus offers new citizens a series of services spread over different territories, in particular in the Umbria, Lazio and Campania regions, planned and carried out as part of a national strategy.
PERSONAL SERVICES
To inform and orientate immigrants in the host society, and to reduce the risk of social exclusion, Cidis Onlus manages services and activities through a series of offices which offer:
* information and consultancy;
* mediation and accompaniment to services;
* work orientation;
* housing agency;
* assistance for refugees and asylum-seekers.

EXCLUSION AND DISCRIMINATION
So as to monitor and prevent the discrimination and social marginalization of immigrants, Cidis Onlus co-ordinates and manages:
* cultural mediation services;
* information and orientation services for foreign detainees and ex-detainees;
* on-line racism monitoring.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING
With the dual objectives of promoting successful education for foreign pupils and adult employment, Cidis Onlus offers:
* consultancy for schools and families;
* school support for pupils of foreign origin;
* intercultural refresher courses for teachers;
* intercultural workshops for youngsters;
* extra-curricular language support courses for foreign children and youngsters;
* socio-linguistic and cultural literacy courses for adult immigrants;
* basic work-orientation courses;
* professional training courses;
* computer courses;
* training for public service operators.

DOCUMENTATION AND RESEARCH
Cidis Onlus edits and publishes research papers, teaching texts and materials, guides to services, books and articles for in-depth understanding of certain issues. It has also developed a multimedia activity to produce CD-ROMs, videos and websites. It co-ordinates and manages a migrant flow observatory.
